1. JK "Just Kidding"
The first one here is JK. JK simply means just kidding. If you're telling a joke and if you're trying to be serious and your friend is going to think well why is he telling me this? you can just say JK or just kidding. It's a joke and I'm not really serious.
2. TTYL "Talk to You Later"
The second one is ttyl. Normally you can use this in a text conversation with your friend or a messenger program if your ending the conversation. If it's almost finished, you can say bye, see you later, or talk to you later. So ttyl means "talk to you later". You can use this at the end of a conversation. I use this one all the time especially if I'm on the bus and maybe I'm chatting with a friend on my phone and if the bus arrives at the stop I have to go really quickly because I don't have time to type or talk to someone.
3. CYA "See You"
The next one CYA. It sounds like see you, right? So this is see you or see you later similar to talk to you later you can use it when you're ending a conversation usually in a text conversation or a messenger conversation
4. NP "No Problem"
The next one and he NP. Now if something does not cause any problems or if you give good advice to someone and they say thank you or if someone says thank you for anything that you have done over text or in a message board something like that you can say no problem. NP means "no problem".
5 IDK "I Don't Know"
Next one is idk. If you are not sure about something and your friend asks you a question but you're not sure about the answer you can say I don't know. So idk literally translates to "I don't know", very simple
6. TMI "Too Much Information"
Now this one TMI. TMI is very very commonly used especially if you're a teenager I guess and if your friend is giving you details about some part of their life and you think that the information they give you is not your business or that information is too graphic or too much. TMI means "Too much information". So, this means that you don't want them to tell you what they told you because it makes you feel uncomfortable or maybe you feel it's not your business.
7. K "Okay"
And finally K
simply okay. Again, sometimes you
don't feel like typing out okay so you can just type K. That's all article about the 7 Texting slang - JK, IDK, TTYL, CYA, TMI, NP, and K, I hope you learn something from it. Cya.
